מי שלא מכיר אותי כבר שנים לעולם לא ינחש שאי שם בשנות התיכון שלי שרתי בלהקת רוק. 

שמעתי רוק, אהבתי רוק וכמי שגדלה בשנות ה-90, המודל ליופי ולסגנון לבוש מבחינתי היתה ליב טיילר בקליפ לשיר "crazy" של איירוסמית'. 

Someone who doesn't know me for a very long time would never guess I was the lead singer in a rock band way back in my high school years.
I listened to rock, loved it and my role model style inspiration at the time way Liv Tyler on Aerosmith's video for "crazy". 

  

מאז השנים עברו והסגנון שלי נשאר רחוק משם, על הצד המעודן יותר של הסקאלה, אבל לא פעם

 בא לי להיות קצת יותר קולית, מחוספסת ולהעיר את נערת הרוק שבי.

The years went by and my style drew quite far from there, towards the more dainty and elegant side, but wait often I find myself wanting to be a bit more edgy and cool and reconnect with the rocker that still lives somewhere inside of me.

בעיצוב הקולקציה לעונה הנוכחית החלטתי לבחור בעולם הרוקנרול כהשראה ולהתחבר מחדש לעולם תוכן שכבר אינו חלק מהיום יום שלי ומהסגנון העיצובי המוכר שלי. ראיתי בזה אתגר מרתק ומסקרן.

The theme I chose for this season's collection in the world of Rock. Choosing an inspiration which is quit detached from my natural style and everyday life was an intriguing challenge, and I was totally up for it!

זה לא היה פשוט למצוא את האיזון בין העדינות והמינימליזם של השפה העיצובית שלי לבין האסתטיקה האדג׳ית של הרוקנרול.

גם הצבעוניות בקולקציה הזו שונה - והצבע המוביל בה הוא שחור, שמופיע כמעט בכל הפריטים בשילוב חומרים רבים ומעניינים - גומי, עור, פורמייקה, אבנים ועוד. 

Finding the right balance between my dainty, minimal design aesthetic and the rough and toughness of rock wasn't easy.

The color palette for this collection if fairly different as well, and focuses on the color black. It is incorporated into most of the items using different materials such as rubber,  FORMICA®, leather, crystals and more.

עולם האופנה שואב השראה מהרוקנרול מאז ומתמיד וגם מהצד השני, מוסיקאים תמיד התייחסו לאופנה והשתמשו בה ככלי לביטוי אישי.

עבורי היה מעניין לבחון את הסגנון המוסיקלי, התרבות והלייפסטייל ולנסות ליצור משהו רענן וחדש. תכשיט שאתן תרצו לענוד.

The fashion world has always been inspired by Rock n' Roll and musicians have always used fashion as a mean of self expression. 

Personally I found it interesting to re-explore the music, culture and lifestyle and try to create something fresh and new. Something you all would like to wear.

בקולקציה תמצאו פריטים שנקראו על שם גדולי הרוק, בהם ג'אגר, מוריסון, הנדריקס ועוד.
אבל מעבר לכל אלה, היה לי חשוב לעצב סדרה קטנה כמחווה לדיוויד בואי, אמן מדהים ואהוב עלי במיוחד, שהלך לעולמו בשנה האחרונה. בסדרה תוכלו למצוא תכשיטים עם סמל הברק האיקוני שמזוהה עם דמותו של זיגי סטרדאסט.

The names of the items in the collection pay tribute to great rock legends such as Jagger, Morrison and Hendrix, but apart from these, it was important for me to pay a special tribute to the late great David Bowie, one of my all time favorite artists and design a line dedicated to him. The line includes several items with Ziggy Stardust's lightning icon.

אני מאמינה שכל פריט בקולקציה הזאת יכול לקבל פרשנות שונה בהתאם למי שעונדת אותו ולסגנון האופנתי שלה.
את לא חייבת להיות רוקרית קשוחה ובעלת מעיל עור כדי לבחור בפריט כזה או אחר. כל הכיף בתכשיטים זה שהם נותנים טוויסט קטן ללוק הכללי.

I believe every new collection item can get a different interpretation by whoever gets to wear it and her own personal style.  

You defiantly don't have to be a tough rocker and wear all leather to go for one of the pieces. That's what I love about jewelry, it only adds a little twist to your overall look.

כאילו לא סיפקתי לכן מנה גדושה של יערות גשם, היום אני רוצה לכתוב על הצבע הירוק.
אם הייתן שואלות אותי על הצבעים האהובים עלי לפני עיצוב הקולקציה האחרונה, ירוק לא היה נכלל בחמישיה הפותחת. מנטה ואקווה כן, אבל לא ירוק אמיתי ועמוק.
ועכשיו, למדתי להסתכל עליו אחרת לגמרי...

Like I haven't been giving you enough dosage of Rainforest magic lately, today I would really like to write about the color green.

If you had asked me about my favorite colors before designing the new collection, green wouldn't even make it to the top 5. Mint and aqua sure, but a deep, real green? No thanks, not for me.

And yet recently I've been looking at it from a whole different perspective...

פתאום גיליתי שירוק הוא צבע עם נוכחות מרשימה, כזאת שיכולה בהחלט להחזיק שמלת ערב, ואם מחליטים ללכת איתו על טוטאל לוק אין סיכוי שמישהו יוכל להתעלם ממך.

I've suddenly realized that green has a true presence and can definitely hold its own as an evening dress color, not to mention the fact that no one can really ignore a total green look.

ואפילו החלטתי ללכת על לוק ירוק (זית) בעצמי באירוע הצגת הקולקציה החדשה לעיתונאים.

I even decided to wear green (or rather olive) myself to my recent new collection press launch.

ולא רק באופנה התחלתי לשים לב לצבע הזה, פתאום גיליתי שהנוכחות שלו מרשימה לא פחות גם בשאר תחומי העיצוב.
גיליתי שמי שיש לו אומץ ללכת עם הצבע הזה עד הסוף בעיצוב של חללי פנים, יכול לייצר מראה מיוחד ודרמטי אבל גם נעים ושובה לב.

And I haven't been taking notice of it in fashion alone, I've suddenly realized that the verdant shade's presence is just as strong in interior design. If you feel like you have the courage to go green all the way, you will definitely gain a unique & dramatic, yet also pleasant and captivating look to your home.

אני מודה, אני בדר״כ פחות נמשכת לצבעים דרמטיים עם נוכחות כל כך חזקה, אבל מאז שהתאהבתי ביערות גשם הקירות בבית קוראים לי לצבוע אותם בירוק בקבוק.

I have no problem admitting that I am usually less drawn to dramatic colors, as I'm sure you all know by now, but ever since I fell in love with rain forests, my home walls are just yearning for some pine green.

בקולקציה הזאת שילבתי המון ירוק על גווניו המיוחדים בחומרים שונים.

This collection obviously incorporated lots of unique green shades in different textures and materials.

I also kept in mind those of you who like their jewelry dainty and more subdued and those of you that want their jewelry to lead the way and have loads of presence.

Rainforest

שוב הגיע הרגע המרגש הזה - הקולקציה החדשה שעבדתי עליה במשך החודשים האחרונים יוצאת לאוויר העולם.

בדרך כלל בחירת שם הקולקציה הוא השלב האחרון בתהליך העבודה, אבל הפעם ההתחלה היתה דווקא הפוכה. השם היה הדבר הראשון שקפץ לי לראש - RAINFOREST ומיד בעקבותיו אימאג׳ של יער ירוק, סבוך וקסום עשיר בדימויים.

It's that unbelievably exciting moment again when my new collection, that I've been working on for months is finally coming out into the world.

Usually picking the collection's name is the final step I the work process but this time it was the other way around. the name was actually the very first thing that jumped into my head - RAINFOREST followed immediately by a clear image of a green forest, all tangled and magical and rich with imageries.

אני תמיד נהנית לעצב קולקציה חדשה, אבל הפעם יצא שבחרתי נושא שפשוט סחף וריגש אותי,
נהניתי לחקור את הנושא ולהתעסק בחומרים מיוחדים, צבעוניים ועשירים בטקסטורה.

I always enjoy designing a new collection, but this time, as it turned out, I'd chosen a theme that simply excited and thrilled me. I loved diving in to the subject matter and dealing with unique, colorful and textured materials.

בתחילת התהליך בניתי לי לוח השראה. חיפשתי אימאג׳ים של יערות רחוקים והפלגתי על גבי פינטרסט אל מחוזות חדשים.
הוא קיבל את פני בכל בוקר כשהגעתי לסטודיו והכניס אותי למצב רוח עיצובי. על הלוח אספתי מלבד תמונות גם דוגמאות לחומרים והרכבתי את הפלטה הצבעונית השולטת בקולקציה - שהיא כמתבקש ירוקה מאוד, עם נגיעות של צבעים נוספים.

I first started out with building an inspiration board. I searched and searched for images of far away forests and turned every Pinterest stone. the board greeted me each and every morning as I reached the studio and put in that ever elusive design mood. Besides pictures, I also pinned different materials I found and the collection's color pallet - mostly different shades of green (no surprises here) with touched of other accent colors.

הקולקציה מתחלקת לשלוש סדרות עיקריות.
הסדרה הראשונה מושפעת מהבוטניקה של יערות הגשם. הוקסמתי מהגרפיות של העלים והצמחים הטרופיים ויצרתי תכשיטים בצורת עלים ושרכים שונים.

The collection is divided into three main lines.

the first is inspired the botanical elements hiding away in the rainforests. I was completely blown away by graphic nature of the different leaves and tropical plants and created leaf and fern-like pieces.

This is not my life forever

הסדרה השניה עוצבה בהשראת עולם החי העשיר ביערות - ציפורים אקזוטיות, חרקים ועוד.

The second line is inspired by the rich wildlife in the forests - including exotic birds of all kinds, insects and more.

עושר אינסופי של דימויים הציף אותי סביב יערות הגשם. לאט לאט התחלתי לחשוב על שבטים נידחים שחיים ביערות אלה ומתוך המחשבה על האסתטיקה השבטית נולדה סדרה נוספת של תכשיטים צבעוניים יותר, שמשלבים חומרים שונים ומעוצבים בסגנון גאומטרי פרימיטיבי.

I found myself flooded with an unbelievable array of imageries. I started to slowly think about far away tribes living inside the rainforests and from that tribal asthetics another line was born, including more colorful pieces, mixing materials and combining both geometric and primitive styles.
